Mosaics abound the Center for Liturgical Art's studios. Artists and Student workers alike have been hard at work, laboriously lining up tiny tiles to match numerous designs and patterns. The following pictures show, in various stages of completion, the mosaics for Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Nebraska. The flat panel will adorn the front of a soon to be built stainless steel ambo. The octagonal baptismal font will also feature mosaic over all eight sides. Overlapping this project are seven cross inserts for the large wall cross featured a couple weeks ago. Each insert totals out at around five square feet of mosaic each.
