Cross Restoration

Yesterday we had the oppurtunity to restore a cross in Nebraska City. The cross had some gold leaf mosaic tiles that were chipping and fading as well as some cleaning that needed to be done. We gilded several tiles that were in need and removed and cleaned the glue used to secure the mosaics that had been seeping from between the tiles since it was first built. After all that we applied a clear coat sealant to prevent future wear on the cross.
